Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American actress, model and TV host as well as a comedian. She was diagnosed with double pneumonia caused by an aggressive S. pneumoniae bacteria infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston had to place Angelica Hale on ECMO Life-Support because she required life-saving medical treatments. Her condition became severe and she suffered organ failure including kidneys that did not recover. She was forced to adapt her lifestyle around hemodialysis then dialysate for the peritoneal area. After 80 days of hospitalization, after a time when she was in danger of dying to her long journey back to good health. Life was forever changed. Angelica was on dialysis for a year-and-ahalf before finally being able to undergo the most important surgery of her entire life: a transplant of the kidney. It was her mother who would donate the kidney. Angelica Hale was able to undergo a renal transplantation with her mother on the 13th of September, 2013. The procedure was conducted at Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star ever since.
