MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received a Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song in 2017. In 2017, he dropped ADN, his first long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. He then became part of Ozuna on their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He released Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album the following year. Later, in 2021, he sang a duet in 2021 with TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was a member of an musical family. His elder brother and mom are both musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. He was taught how to play guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while a young child. Though his original career plan was becoming a veterinarian for animals but his brother Julian advised him to begin learning to sing with the Cuban. This revolutionized his entire life.
